The Autism Foundation - an NGO with outstanding public utility - was founded in 1989. It has the following sections: Outpatient Clinic, School, Adult Unit, Adolescent Club, "TERC" (outpatient therapeutic centre), Autism Research Group, Parent's Club, Methodological Centre, Kapocs Publishers.
Its priorities are:

adaptation, development and dissemination of high level evidence-based good practices that, covering the whole autism spectrum, help professional services from the diagnostic procedure to intervention during adulthood

mediation of up-to-date information based on scientific research that contributes to a deeper understanding of the needs of people with autism.
